- I've got a SVR4 (i860) system and am having one HECK of a time
- trying to get the named to behave itself.
-
- I can get it to request the files from the primary IF and ONLY
- IF I make it the/a secondary. However, I just want it to be a
- client. Should it load the hosts DB file if this is the case or
- should it query the primary name server for each name it can't
- resolve by itself and then maintain it's own cache of resolved
- names?
-
- If anyone's got the RFC #'s 1034 & 1035 (I don't have direct
- access to the net {YET}) could they be so kind as to mail it to
- me? I'd REALLY appreciate it.
-
- Part of what I suspect my problems are is that I don't have the
- root.cache or the named.local files in the correct format.
-
- Thanks folks.
