- I am an MSDOS junkie who is considering getting a Powerbook 160. The
- prices in Canada are pretty steep, and there is a $400CDN difference
- between the 80MB hard disk and the 120MB version.
-
- I want to use the Powerbook mostly for word processing, as well as
- occasional drawing and typesetting, using Quark, Framemaker or TeX.
-
- Now the question. How much space do these programs take up, including
- System 7? I need to work with [mostly text] documents of several
- hundred pages, with some graphical elements. Will I be cramped with
- an 80MB disk, or will the 120MB be a luxury? Very vague question, I
- know, but just give me a ballpark figure.
-
- Another question: my friend wants to sell me his Syquest 44MB drive.
- It is a SCSI device, and there is a SCSI port on the PB160, but I've
- heard that it is non-standard. Is this the case, and if so what can
- I do about it?
