  12. Is there any way to encrypt passwords? I need for my daemon to be able to create
  13. passwords on the fly.

  15. We tried the newpass call, but it always wants terminal input, ignoring the values set in the password structure.

  17. We then tried the putuserpw call, but it does not encrypt the password; it puts an unencrypted password into the password file.
