- I have a DWP230 printer which I still use frequently, when I want my
- business letters to appear typewritten (not computer-printed). It's
- still quite a nice machine, though I paid a fortune for it years ago.
- The daisywheels it uses are Diablo 630, I believe. I just now opened up
- the machine and pulled my courier wheel to read its designation, but the
- only info is Diablo and the font.
- I've never seen another brand machine which looks even similar to
- this one...wouldn't be surprised if it's unique to Tandy. Drivers are
- available for many wordprocessing programs specifically for the 230. I
- use WORKS for much of my business, and I have the 230 driver, though I
- actually use the TTP generic driver, because the wordprocessor will pause
- to prompt me to install the correct daisywheel before printing, unless I
- use the default TTP driver.
- I also have the tractor feeder, which is incredibly strong since it
- pushes AND pulls the sprocket holes.
