  12. We are about to launch ourselves into SUN world, probably by buying
  13. a SparkClassic.  Vendors down this part of the world are not great
  14. on supplying useful info (before or after purchase), so please
  15. mail me relevant goodies, or point me at faq lists.  I would like to
  16. know about bugs (hardware and software), SunOS/Solaris incompatibilities,
  17. installation tips, etc.
  18. Our configuration would probably be:
  19. SparkClassic
  20. 19 inch monitor
  21. 24 MB memory
  22. 200 MB internal disk
  23. 1.3 GB scsi disk
  24. cd-rom drive

  26. I have always been a VAX/VMS person in the past, this will be my first Unix
  27. box. We will want to hook up to thin ethernet.  All the existing Sun's on campus
  28. run SunOS.
