  32. I did as you suggested.  I probed with no tape and my disk is at SCSI 3
  33. and then probed with the tape.  It found the disk where it was before and
  34. found the tape also (at SCSI 4).   I took the tape drive apart to make
  35. sure there were no internal terminators and there weren't.  When the machine
  36. boots, it finds the disk and starts reading in the kernel.  It gets as
  37. far as esp0 and then hangs.  After a few minutes it says:

  40.         <many more ugly messages>

  42. Then it goes through the rest of the boot process, and it sees the tape at
  43. SCSI 4 as st0 and tells me it is an Archive QIC-150, then it reboots because
  44. it can't mount root.  Does this sound like a SCSI termination/cable problem?
