  13. We've had this setup working between a 386 PC and a Sun 2/120 for ages.

  15. How come the transceiver ethernet connector of ELC doesn't work
  16. normally according to spec.?  Sun ELC (4/25) and 386 PC won't talk via
  17. Transceiver ethernet null-modem cable anymore like in Sun 2.

  19. The error message in boot is simply 'le0 -no carrier.  Transceiver
  20. cable problem'.  Nothing helps - we've tried to hardwire differential
  21. signal 'Collision detect' both to 'no collision' & 'collision' too.

  23. The only difference to standard ethernet is ****pin 4****?? on Sparc
  24. Ethernet connector that is wired in addition to the usual pins
  25. 2,5,6 (gnd), 10, 13.

  27. I wonder what signal goes on that pin 4?  The sparc works well when
  28. brought into usual network.
