- While I'm waiting for our sun salesperson, I thought I'd ask the
- world:
-
- We have Sun 3's and Sun 4's running 4.1.1. We have 4.1.2 on CD-rom,
- uninstalled. We just received a Sparcstation 10/20 which supposedly
- has 4.1.3 on the hard disk.
- It won't boot. Running jumpstart makes it look for host yp maps and
- I think other 4.1.3 systems, then ask for the CD-ROM which we do not
- own. The docs cover Jumpstart and refer to Solaris manuals which we do
- not own.
- The old boot syntax no longer works.
- Could someone please tell us how to boot this puppy or do we have the
- wrong thing? Please email and I'll summarize.
- thanks, Betsy
-
- PS we don't have software support either. Starving non-profit public
- institution.
