- Greetings all...
-
- I am in the process of trying to choose between a variety of UNIX-based
- platforms in the 20-30K price range, and am seeking some information from
- current users to help me guage relative performace capabilities of
- different platforms. We will primarily use the machine for heavy analyses
- using SAS, and so I'm particularly interested in how it performs on both
- the Sparc 2 and the new Sparc 10 (30 & 41) models. I have a short bit
- of SAS code which has circulated for a couple of years on SAS-L which I'd
- happily send to someone with SAS on his/her system, if they'd agree to run
- the bench and send me the results.
-
- Please note me if you'd be willing (the code is small, and quick, but will
- help me make some informed decisions).
-
- Thanks in advance...
