  12. I am in the process of trying to choose between a variety of UNIX-based
  13. platforms in the 20-30K price range, and am seeking some information from
  14. current users to help me guage relative performace capabilities of
  15. different platforms. We will primarily use the machine for heavy analyses
  16. using SAS, and so I'm particularly interested in how it performs on both
  17. the Sparc 2 and the new Sparc 10 (30 & 41) models. I have a short bit
  18. of SAS code which has circulated for a couple of years on SAS-L which I'd
  19. happily send to someone with SAS on his/her system, if they'd agree to run
  20. the bench and send me the results.

  22. Please note me if you'd be willing (the code is small, and quick, but will
  23. help me make some informed decisions).
