- Hi, I'm pretty new to Sun hardware so bare with me if i make some
- really silly comments or questions.
- Basically, this is what I'm curious about. We currently have a
- Sun3/160 (believe thats the model) running here on campus. Its basically
- just used by students, so any upgrades or additions to it is our
- responsiblity. A few of us have decided to pool our money together and
- purchase another Sun to help lighten the load. Money is pretty scarce
- so I posted and so far the best offer is for a Sun3/80 motherboard with
- 16M RAM.
- Now for the questions. What else do I need to hook it up to the
- other machine? I'm taking bare minimums here and any one know an approximate
- cost to do this? All that I can think of that we need is a case, powersupply,
- and cables. We have plenty of diskspace on the other machine, so really just
- need this one for the CPU. Is that really all we need? someone mentioned that
- we'd also need an I/O board, but they werent certain of this. If we do,
- how much would one cost?
- Guess thats about it. E
- mail me any comments/criticisms/info or whatever,
- Thanks.

- PS. if anyone knows where i can buy any of the above mentions, even a CPU
- for a similar model, please email me. Thanks
