- I don't know about "locally", but DEC's officially-stated Alphs OSF/1
- release timeframe is March/April this year. E.g., apx. the same time
- as SUN's machine-to-end-all-machines (according to some folks in this
- newgroup) umpteen-cpu multiprocessor.

- Yes, there has been a tremendous amount of agitation about DEC's virtual
- abandonment of ULTRIX. DEC's marketing people deny this but DEC's actions
- confirm it.
