  18. There is a program on the internet called "Radio" which allows you
  19. to receive audio broadcast on any node from one source node using the network.

  21. It uses roughly about 1% of the network transmitting 8k blocks of data.
  22. It was easy to modify the source to transmit larger blocks of data across the 
  23. network (The source code is well documented). At near CD quality, 
  24. the network saw about 5% bandwidth utilization.

  26. It has been awhile since I have looked at the program, so I can't say
  27. exactly what I did to change the block size, but I do remember it was
  28. easy to do.

  30. We used the program to play CDs through the network. The program does a good
  31. job of buffering so that there was no noticeable sound loss (unless
  32. there was heavy network usage).
