  12. We have a number of Ricoh IS50 scanners attached to an equal number of
  13. 4D/35s, and are having the following problem: on some of the hosts
  14. with scanners, we get (SCSI) disk errors, and the following in the
  15. syslog (this from a host named june):

  18. Dec  3 09:16:37 june unix: dks0d1s6 (/usr): retrying request

  21. Dec  3 09:21:11 june unix: sc0,1,0: cmd=0x2A timeout after 30 sec.  Resetting SCSI bus

  24. If the scanner and cable is moved to another 4D/35, all is well with
  25. both hosts.  We are using the cable SGI told us to (Qualtronix's 8-ft.
  26. SCSI cable part# 018-8019-008), and are terminating the bus.  Any ideas
  27. what the cause could be?
