  13. Is anyone using RAID (disks) on an SGI (or any other machine,
  14. actually)?

  16. If so, I would be interested in posing a few questions such
  17. as what application you are using, the performance gains you
  18. are experiencing and the extent of your software modifications
  19. to achieve this performance gain.

  21. If you are accessing data on RAID via a network file service
  22. (presumably NFS), what is your network media and how much of
  23. a performance hit did you take going via NFS?

  25. If any SGI folks and get me any info, I would be very interested.
  26. We are seriously considering using RAID on an SGI 440.  My sales
  27. person is in training for the next few days; still...
