  12.  SGI people,

  14.   I'm new to SGI's and to unix.  My boss just got a used Indigio with the
  15.  GR2-Elan board.  Since he doesn't have internet access he wanted me to
  16.  find out a few things.  He wants to do some type of computer animation,
  17.  but does he need a VTR?  Or is there some way to play the frames fast
  18.  enough without one.  Secondly, how does the genlock port on the back
  19.  of the machine function.  Does it go in, out or both ways?  Is the
  20.  hardware necessarily installed just because the port is there?  When
  21.  I try to use the Genlock Confidence Test it tells me I have no hardware
  22.  or software is not setup.  Thanks for any help to this strugglin
