  16. :I've been using the PC-3100 for about half a year now. The main reason
  17. I chose it over the HP was the 80x24 screen and the keyboard which is
  18. JUST big enough to tough type (I have skinny fingers).

  20. One complaint, though. I use it a lot as a portable terminal and 
  21. discovered that the Serial port does not work in the low power mode!
  22. (Laplink will automatically switch it to high power and back).
  23. I suppose RS-232 needs high power to get the +/- range.

  25. Unfortunately, in high power mode AND using the serial port will
  26. drain the batteries like crazy (2 hrs?). Using the AC adapter helps
  27. but to my dismay, the batteries will ALSO run down albeit slower.

  29. Perhaps my hardware is faulty. Anyone with similar experiences?
