- I plug my HP95 into a Cessna-172 lighter plug on a regular basis (13.8V
- and really noisy) with no ill effects. I also plug into my Ford Explorer
- electrical system (also 13.8) for many hours at a time with no ill
- effects.
-
- I did build a filter (big coil and cap) for the airplane, the ignition
- noise worried me a bit. Still, I've never had any problems with the 95
- other than the clock resetting to Jan 1980 on a fairly regular basis
- (this happens on batteries or HP's AC power supply, and happened before
- I ever plugged into the 13.8 so I don't think its related).
