  11. As a followup,  (and as someone who has no experience with WANs), how
  12. would you achieve this if speed (the "real time" requirement) was not
  13. an issue.  How would you connect to LANs using high speed modems, so
  14. that they could communicate (for E-mail exchange, for example) ?
