- Is anybody out there doing pass thru printing on a PC
- using Lan WorkPlace for DOS version 4.01 and tnvt220.
-
- I have a series of PC's connected to a UNIX Sys V system and some
- of them have local printers attached. At times the users would
- like to print output from the UNIX box on their local printers
-
- To do this we have a program that puts a vt100 style terminal into
- print mode, sends the file down the port, and resets the terminal
- into the corect mode. This works fine on simple ascii terminals,
- and PC's that are connectted serially using Procomm. When using
- tnvt220 the terminal is put into print mode, prints the file,
- but never returns.
-
- Based on that fact I am assuming that the escape sequence is
- different than the one used by my other "terminals". However,
- I cannot find any information on these sequences in any of the
- manuals and people are getting grumpy.
-
- If anyone can help me out I would be grateful. If I can supply
- any additional info please let me know. Please mail any responses
- to jmck@yfn.ysu.edu as I don't get to read news as often as
- it expires :-)
-
- Thanx in advance for any help.
