- Hi folks. I know, I know, this thread went by and I missed it. I just went
- cruising through the archives (sonata & orst) and didn't see a collection of
- FAQs and the postings I've saved don't mention this. I've also asked around
- here, and this "just works" for everybody else. So, with the obligatory mea
- culpa out of the the way...

- I finally decided to plug my NeXT CD-ROM drive in and try and play some music.
- According to a friend, you just stick the music CD in the carrier, stick it in
- the drive, and CDPlayer.app will pop up. Unfortunately, it goes in and then
- comes back out again. Here's what's in the console:
-
- sd2 (6,0): ERROR op:0x28 sd_state:4 scsi status:0x0

-
- cdaudio.util: CANNOT OPEN CDPlayer
-
- If anyone has any good suggestions (i.e. where to move
- /NextDeveloper/Demos/CDPlayer.app, or what permissions should be set on
- /dev/rs???), I'd be happy to hear.
-
- Thanks.
