- A friend of mine has a Mac II si. The machine no longer boots off
- the hard drive but will boot from a disk. He noticed wierd things
- happening before the machine "died", eg superclock displaying wrong
- time, control panels not working properly. The last time it was working
- the system bombed with an Error 41. The machine could not be restarted
- without power-off. Hard disk works fine after booting from a disk.
- Do you suppose this is a corruted OS, or is there some other problem
- possible?
- Oh I should explain startup behavior. He says he gets a happy mac,
- the arrow cursor appears and goes to one corner momentarily, then
- the ?disk picture appears.
