  12. I'd like to have my mac start up silently when my kid is sleeping. I
  13. got a copy of Soundinit... the directions say if you hold down the
  14. caps lock key when starting up, the startup sound won't play.

  16. That's true, but he's talking about an _additional__ startup sound,
  17. not the original mac beep.  That pesky noise is still there....

  19. I've got an SE/30. I know about sticking a mini-phone jack in the
  20. audio output. I'm looking for a somewhat classier solution. thanks.
