- :I came across a file called "A/ROSE" in the system 7.1 folder.

- The A/ROSE file is Apple's Realtime Operating System Extension (or
- Executive) and as best I can figure, slows my system (Q950 8/230) to
- a crawl. I don't know what software requires it, but I removed A/ROSE
- and the machine runs fine (and much faster).
