  12. I am having a problem with icons turning back to "generic" application icons
  13. on my new mac IIvx running system 7.1.  It seems that my Quicken 3.0 icons
  14. will consistenly turn generic.  I've re-installed Quicken many times any they
  15. always change eventually (usually within a few hours).  One time last night I
  16. re-started with all extensions off and they returned to normal.  I restarted
  17. with extensions on and they were gone again.  Tired rebuilding the desktop
  18. several times with no success.  I also started turning off inits one by one
  19. using init manger until the only init running was init manger with no
  20. success.  Needless to say this took a lot of time.  The other funny thing is
  21. the original locked disk shows generic icons also when this happens.  I
  22. restarted one last time be for giving up last evening with extensions off and
  23. the icons stayed generic!
