  18. When installing System 7.1 my friend got the following alert:

  20.     Cannot overwrite  protected resource
  21.     on the disk "Macintosh HD".  Error
  22.     detected before installation began.

  24. Does anyone know what this means?  He checked the disk with Disk First
  25. Aid and Disk Doctor, but neither reported any problems.
