- Bzzt. Stallman resigned as President of the LPF several years ago
- because he and many LPF members were concerned that people were
- assuming that the LPF and the FSF were pursuing the same agenda.
- This is not true. The LPF is pursuing the agenda of ending patent
- protection and look&feel protection for software. The FSF is
- pursuing the agenda of revoking *all* Intellectual Property rights on
- software, including the copyright.

- Don't kid yourself. There is a need for good software out there. If
- there were no Intellectual Property protection on software at all, a
- software industry would still exist, and competent programmers would
- still pull down decent salaries. It'd be a lot different than today's
- software industry, but perhaps not as different as you might imagine.
