  10. I'm having a weird problem... maybe someone here would have an idea?

  12. I have a old-fashioned TextEdit field in a window.  I use TEInsert and
  13. TEKey to insert text in it.  Everything works fine, except that under
  14. certain reproducible circumstances, those two functions will just move
  15. the TextEdit cursor forward the proper amount instead of printing
  16. text.  I can't figure out what's common about the circumstances where
  17. it happens yet, but I'm not changing any of the properties of the
  18. TextEdit field after I set it up.

  20. Sometimes some of the text becomes visible again when I move a window
  21. to cover it up then move the window aside, or scroll the text out of
  22. view then back into view, but sometimes it stays invisible, although I
  23. can select it and cursor through it as if it was there.

  25. I'm stymied.  There's nothing unusual I'm doing that would make text
  26. invisible, but chances are I'm just overlooking something.  Has anyone
  27. had a similar problem before, or heard of this happening?
