- No, they both run at equal speeds of 33 MHz. (You can reduce the speed on
- either machine to 16 MHz by selecting the "Reduced speed" option in the
- Powerbook control panel.)

- The 210/230 use slightly faster ROM chips (120 ns access time vs.
- 150 ns in the 180), and only the Duo 210/230 support "burst" RAM
- memory access. "Burst" access means that consecutive RAM
- address locations can be accessed in 2 clock cycles rather than the
- normal 5 cycles. Data can be read from or written to RAM faster
- in the 210/230, which results in higher CPU performance.

- of the PowerBook Duo 230 being about 10% faster than the PowerBook
- 180 (using most standard CPU test programs).
