  11. I want a home computer that'll pay for itself.  In a former life
  12. I was a document designer and graphic artist.  I know a Mac is
  13. my best bet - with Quark or PageMaker plus Illustrator & some
  14. others.

  16. The advice I'd like:
  17.     list of general home-use/personal applications (e.g., Quicken)
  18.     that you recommend (with price info if possible).
  19.  
  20.     minimum recommended configuration and suggestions on how to
  21.     find the least expensive buy I can.
  22.  
  23. Recently, I research leasing/financing but I'm reluctant to get
  24. into long-term arrangements.
