- I just purchased an APS PowerModem 4 for my PowerBook 160. This is
- the same as the PSI PowerModem 4, just cheaper ($345 + sh/h.) The
- modem supports V.32, V.32bis, V.42, V.42bis and several types of Fax.
- I've only tried Faxing to work and to APS for registration of the
- modem so far. Worked fine.
-
- The FAXstf software provided still has a few rough edges (as has been
- mentioned here before.) PSI Integration demoed a new Fax package at
- Mac World last week which should be out in another month or two.
-
- So far my only complaints are a little weak AT command documentation
- and the modem still makes some audio noise through the speaker after
- being connected.
