- First, to upgrade the machine to 8mb you first have to remove the four
- 256k simms that are already installed before you add the four one
- meg simms... sorry not enough simm slots on the Performa/IIvx/IIvi's

- Second, although installing simms might "void" your warranty...
- you can quit easily install them ... I've done this many times with no
- problem... and besides how is Apple to know that an authorized dealer
- didn't install them to begin with... many times I've taken a machine that's
- more than half a year old in for repair only to find that they don't even
- record of the purchase on the repair system that's into every dealership...
