  15. My wife got a IIvx just before christmas and she brought it home and I
  16. helped her copy all data from her old SE/30 to it. When she brought it
  17. to work the machine refused to start by using the start button on the
  18. keyboard. She had to use the switch on the back. She tried several
  19. times to no avail.

  21. One evening we went down to her work to see what the problem was, I
  22. used my magic finger and of course, the bugger started on the first
  23. attempt! We turned it off and she tried it and it worked for her too.
  24. Yesterday when she came back after christmas it refuses to start again
  25. through the keyboard.

  27. Has anyone experienced anything like this? The machine is brand new,
  28. so I don't think the battery is dead. Isn't the battery needed also
  29. for the button on the back?

  31. Is it the keyboard or cable?

  33. The machine is a IIvx with CD, 5M ram, 230 Mdisk, extended keyboard
  34. (data communication keyboard), 14" color monitor.
