- My adventurous daughter wanted to see if our beautiful 13" Trinitron monitor
- was magnetic- she touched a moderately powerful magnet to the screen and it now
- has 4 large, ugly blotches on it.
-
- 2 of the blotches are green, and 2 are olive. Each pair looks like they would
- superimpose on the other, but are separate. The rest of the hardware is fine
- (except for the magnet:-)).
-
- Is my $600 investment shot?
-
- Thanks, Lilmara@Yalevm.YCC.Yale.edu
-
- I guess it'll work as a color TV, shut the monitor off for a few
- minutes and back on. Or if the monitor has a de-gauss button, press it
- and wait until the image stops waving. The procedure may have to be
- repeated a few times.
