- Greetings folks!
- I need help with re-mapping the function keys on the Mac keyboard (not the
- FKEYS). The Macintoshes are using NCSA/BYU Telnet 2.5 to connect to a UNIX
- mainframe. The Unix host is running software that REQUIRES the use of the
- function keys, and shift-combinations thereof. Yes, this program was designed
- for use with DOS machines.
- I have played around with ReEdit 2.1, but have been unable to re-map the
- function keys for either the Telnet application OR the system. As far as I can
- tell, it doesn't matter what I assign to the function keys, they always send
- the same codes. I hae successfully re-mapped other common keys, though.
-
- So, can anyone offer some ideas? How can I re-map the function keys?
- Or at the very least tell me what key codes are currently being sent from the
- function keys? If I knew that, maybe we could set up a termcap entry on the
- Unix host.
-
- Any thoughts, ponters and/or programs would be appreciated.
-
- Thanks!
