  13. For $20 sure is. But some programs may not like AutoDoubler. Off hand I 
  14. can't list any but I had a lot of trouble with various INITs and
  15. ONLocation. If you ever decide to use SyQuest Cart. drives look out when
  16. dismounting the cart. Weird things happened to me.

  18. FifthGen. would not want
  19. to admit that thier software was giving me problems (this pissed me off)
  20. with my SyQuest drivers. I used my original drivers from ETC Peripherals,
  21. SCSI Probe and SilverLinning and each driver had problem with AutoD when
  22. I ejected the drive and powered it off the SCSI bus. NO, I'm sorry but the
  23. SCSI experts told me this is safe since the bus will "know" the drive is
  24. no longer available. It seems the AutoD can't figure this out.

  26. I still feel their product is good but not the greatest. BTW SpaceSaver
  27. doesn't suffer from the SyQuest forget-me-and-cripple-the-mac syndrome.
  28. Explain that! I'm pinning my hopes for my compression needs on Stacker
  29. for the Mac since it is installed at the HD driver level and not 
  30. patching into/above the Mac OS.

  32. Finally, ever since Salient was taken over by Fifth Generation, I
  33. noticed that service was not good. I never had my calls returned, was
  34. forgetten several times and was never even offered an upgrade to the
  35. lastest version AutoD. I sure missed it when Salient was running the
  36. show.

  39. Alas this is only my beef. I'm sure others had a better experience.
