  19. Well, depending on your requirements for shapes, there are a couple of
  20. options:

  22. Richard Friend's excellent DFDEditor program does dataflow diagrams. It may
  23. not provide you with enough shape options, though. It is available at
  24. sumex-aim.stanford.edu as "/app/dfd-editor-11.hqx".

  26. Another choice would be DesignerDraw, which is also available at sumex, as
  27. "/app/designer-draw.hqx". It has more shapes and things, but I've seen
  28. reports that it doesn't work on some systems.

  30. Of course, other options would be commercial programs like Top-Down or
  31. FlowChart Express, both from Kaetron. If you do a lot of hierarchical
  32. charts (I do), Org Plus, from Banner Blue, can be used for all kinds of
  33. hierarchical charts, not just organization charts.
