- Summary: Excel 4.0/3.0 macro compatability problems
- Keywords: Excel 4.0 3.0 compatability macros
-
- I have a (large) application that was written in Excel 3.0. Has anyone noticed
- any of the following problems with macro sheet compatability between 3.0
- and 4.0 on the Macintosh?
-
- 1. CREATE.OBJECT, when working with a multiple selection (two columns) and
- being told to create an XY chart (first column = x) either makes a bar
- chart or makes an XY chart with about 5 series on it. Works OK for
- non-multiple (two column) selection.
-
- 2. ROW.HEIGHT told to unhide previous rows from 100 to 16384 under some circum-
- stances places you in never-never land as far as location on the spreadsheet
- with only one (upper left) or less cells visible and inability to scroll
- around with scroll bars.
-
- As far as I have tried, these do not appear to be bugs in 4.0 for Windoze, just
- for the Mac. They work in 3.0 for the Mac as well (program was developed in
- 3.0).
- E-mail replies preferred as I skim this group quickly and may miss posts.
- Thanks in advance.-kby@alumni.caltech.edu
