  12. I have just seen the demo model of the IBM 700C notebook in my campus store.
  13. They were pretty ignorant about the features of the machine (errr, it's not a Mac!)
  14. My question is:

  16. When power saving features are turned on, will the machine stay on for the entire
  17. duration of a file xfer via modem upload/download? I has another notebook that would
  18. shut off during modem transmissions and required me to run a power management
  19. utility BEFORE I entered the modem program. I noticed that the 700C did not
  20. have all the power features accessible via keyboard shortcuts. It this an annoyance?

  22. If you think that I will always plug in power when xferring files, that is not
  23. true. It is handy to send a FAX from a conference room during a meeting; a power
  24. outlet may be hard to reach.
