- I can amplify the rumor :). My understanding is that the "pentium" and
- the "hexium" were being developed in parallel and that the "hexium" was
- due out sometime during the later part of 1993. Therefore, if Intel
- truely decided to axe the "pentium" and waited another 6 months for
- the "hexium," it probably wouldn't be a huge deal to Intel. In fact
- I would support this move, since the "hexium" will just cause the
- "pentium" to become obsolete that much faster.
