- I don't think so. The "specs" are available to folks like ZEOS who
- manufacture hardware that will incorporate this technology. You have
- to pay big bucks for this advance info and you have to sign legal
- non-disclosure agreements.

- The specs on the socket are not Intel proprietary. ZIF sockets have
- been around for a good while. I am unclear, however, how the high
- speed (100MHz) CPUs will perform in these sockets.

- I have a ZEOS 486DX2-66 with the ZIF socket and there is TWO extra rows
- and TWO extra columns set aside for the P24T chip. It is my understanding
- that this will NOT accept the Pentium, but rather it's half-brained cousin,
- the P24T. Currently the 486DX2 chip sits in the dead center of the
- ZIF socket, with all the extra pin holes around the perimeter of the
- chip.
