- I was wondering if anybody could tell me what the jumpers on this card do.
- Both floppies running off this board died simultaniously--they spin up,
- and then return "Drive not ready"--and I would like to avoid reformatting
- the HD by just diabling the floppy controller, keeping the HD on the card,
- and getting a new discrete FD controller.
-
- The card in question is the standard full-length integrated 16-bit controller
- card shipped with the old IBM ATs. There are three sets of jumpers, and
- the stickers affixed to it note "X+ECO1611", "6480111", and "RR-37859".
-
- If somebody could just tell me how to disable the FD contrller half, I would be
- very grateful.
-
- Thanks,
- Dave
