  11. I was wondering if anybody could tell me what the jumpers on this card do.
  12. Both floppies running off this board died simultaniously--they spin up,
  13. and then return "Drive not ready"--and I would like to avoid reformatting
  14. the HD by just diabling the floppy controller, keeping the HD on the card,
  15. and getting a new discrete FD controller.

  17. The card in question is the standard full-length integrated 16-bit controller
  18. card shipped with the old IBM ATs.  There are three sets of jumpers, and
  19. the stickers affixed to it note "X+ECO1611", "6480111", and "RR-37859".

  21. If somebody could just tell me how to disable the FD contrller half, I would be
  22. very grateful.
