  12. With the recent discussion on the quality (or lack thereof) of Packard Bell
  13. computers, I hoped I could find the solution to a persistant problem
  14. I have with mine.  I am using all the original components of my PACK-MATE
  15. but have installed a non-PB motherboard (386SX-25).  This involved chopping
  16. holes in the case among other things.  My problem now is that the clock chip
  17. cannot keep time (I have even put an external battery pack on) and if I don't 
  18. turn the thing on for a week or so I get a Hard Disk error (Non-System Disk).
  19. Is the PB power supply somehow the root of all my problems?
  20. Or is this sorry Miniscribe drive part of it?
  21. Any help would be appreciated, as I must use this system til I can afford a new
  22. one.
