- With the recent discussion on the quality (or lack thereof) of Packard Bell
- computers, I hoped I could find the solution to a persistant problem
- I have with mine. I am using all the original components of my PACK-MATE
- but have installed a non-PB motherboard (386SX-25). This involved chopping
- holes in the case among other things. My problem now is that the clock chip
- cannot keep time (I have even put an external battery pack on) and if I don't
- turn the thing on for a week or so I get a Hard Disk error (Non-System Disk).
- Is the PB power supply somehow the root of all my problems?
- Or is this sorry Miniscribe drive part of it?
- Any help would be appreciated, as I must use this system til I can afford a new
- one.
