- I found that by disabling the 32-bit fast disk-access method in
- Windows 3.1, the problem above "went away". I guess the controller
- is NOT 100% compatible with the 32-bit disk option (yet). I haven't
- really noticed any great performance increase with the option anyway
- so that's no big deal to me.

- Look for another UPDATE post hopefully this week regarding my initial
- problem: failures of buffer cache flushing after an XCOPY.
