- I'm interested in hearing people's comments who have
- seen/used/purchased the "WatchIT-TV" board. For those who don't know,
- it's a card that basically allows you to watch television on your PC,
- through DOS or windows. In windows, you can have a TV window of (I
- believe) arbitrary size, and there are on screen controls for video
- and audio effects. It also allows you to do framegrabbing.
-
- I'd like to hear any comments, good or bad, about this product.
-
-
- My second question is about SVGA boards. I'm looking for something
- with a minimum of 1152x900 resolution with at least 256 colors in that
- mode. I'd like something that supports 24 bit color as well, but
- that's not really a necessity. I'm interested in something that will
- run MS windows, and probably 386BSD/X. (Yes, I realize that 386BSD
- only supports X for the Tseng 4000, but source IS available)
-
- I'd like to hear comments from people, good or bad, on cards that are
- capable of that resolution (doesn't have to be exact). Please, when
- responding, let me know what modes the card is capable of. The
- WatchIT-TV board says that it requires a "feature connector", so if
- you happen to know what this means (I don't), and know that your
- particular card has one, please let me know. Also, if anyone can
- confirm that the WatchIT-TV board requires that you run in only
- 640x480 graphics in windows (or not), I'd like to know that as well.
-
- Thanks for any information...
-
- (And to think I got flooded with mail about my bridge query, I can't
- *wait* to see what this is going to bring :-)
