  14. some OPTi chipsets made in the past couple years appear to have
  15. a DMA fault that shows up on faster boards (33+MHz)
  16. those with write-back caches seem to be more susceptible than
  17. other cahce architectures
  18.  
  19. the fault causes some problems with the sound blaster pro, BIG
  20. problems with the Gravis ultrasound (pro audio spectrum(+,16) seem
  21. ok though.)  problems have been reported with adaptec scsi controllers
