  32. I own a VIEWSONIC 5e monitor.  I think it is great at displaying WINDOWS
  33. and other graphical screen however I am diasspointed with the display
  34. of white characters on the black background in the DOS screen.
  35. On my monitor I get a glow around the contrasting characters, even when
  36. the brightness is turned half down.
  37. Is this characteristic of all 5e monitors?

  39. Also, I have a query about using the 72 hz "flicker free mode" (VESA).

  41. Can I use it all the time, or only when using certain graphical
  42. applications?

  44. When I set it on using the Tseng Labs dmode program, the display shows
  45. broken lines instead of solid lines.

  47. Does anyone know what the dip switches at the back of the Tseng Labs
  48. Card do?  There is no mention of them in the manual which came with the
  49. card.
