- I own a VIEWSONIC 5e monitor. I think it is great at displaying WINDOWS
- and other graphical screen however I am diasspointed with the display
- of white characters on the black background in the DOS screen.
- On my monitor I get a glow around the contrasting characters, even when
- the brightness is turned half down.
- Is this characteristic of all 5e monitors?
-
- Also, I have a query about using the 72 hz "flicker free mode" (VESA).
-
- Can I use it all the time, or only when using certain graphical
- applications?
-
- When I set it on using the Tseng Labs dmode program, the display shows
- broken lines instead of solid lines.
-
- Does anyone know what the dip switches at the back of the Tseng Labs
- Card do? There is no mention of them in the manual which came with the
- card.
