- Next Question:
-
- I'm dealing with a Quantum Passport XL, 105 Meg removable
- hard disk. SCSI Device. This disk has "lost" it's low level
- format. I cannot call Quantum from work (900 number) and
- don't care to spend the $5. myself to get a work related
- problem solved.
-
- I've tried calling Quantum's BBS (408) 894-3214,
- (Advertiezed: 24 hours a day 7 days a week; meaning it's
- busy that amount of time.) :-) And I'm not sure I can get
- what I need there anyway. i.e., a low level formmating
- routine for the beast in question.
-
- I cannot get the chassis apart to find out what type of
- mechanism is inside, they use something like a T4 or T6
- screw to assemble the shell. No doubt though that the
- drive itself is similar, if not identical to, a Quantum
- LPS105.
-
- Does anyone know of a (the) low level formatting routine for
- this drive?
