- I just saw an amusing advertisement for a Bay Area company which claims to
- supply "free 287/387 co-processors with purchase of a basic system."

- Free? They sell a 486SX/20 motherboard and CPU for $190, and a 386/40 for
- $170. Note that this doesn't include the 387. When you go to a "basic system"
- the 387 is included. Interestingly, the "basic system" with a 486SX/20 is
- $348; for the 386/40, it's $378.

- Why is the 386/40 system $30 more than the 486SX when the MB & CPU is $20
- *less*? Must be the so-called "free" 387. What a ripoff.

- lookout for scams like this.
