  11. In my experience:
  12. This fabulously descriptive error message means there is no
  13. active boot partition on the drive.  Use Fdisk to set the active
  14. partition.  Note, this does not mean that the disk is not partioned, 
  15. just that you haven't labeled any partition as the one to boot from.
