This will not be as easy as it looks since both joysticks are of different
type. The Atari joystick has four swithches that are either turned on or
off depending on the position of the stick. But the IBM joystick has two
analog position meters that track the position of the joystick, this allows
for a level of flexibility and added control ability. I don't think thaT one
can be easily converted to the other.
Also, a good IBM joystick cost $20 - $30 so why would you even consider spending hours trying to convert an old, cheap ATARI2600 joystick??? I suggest that
you buy a new joystick and use your time at something more constructive.
